Improving Early Nutrition and Health in South Africa through Capacity Building


The ImpENSA project is a multi-center collaboration co-funded by the European Union's Erasmus+ Programme (2016-2020). The project brought together eight organizations from South Africa and Europe to that has developed the ImpENSA blended Training Programme. This Programme aims to equip healthcare professionals in South Africa with knowledge and skills to improve micronutrient nutrition and behavior change in the first 1000 days of life. Two preparatory modules are available on the ImpENSA e-learning platform, after completion of which participants can enroll in the subsequent face-to-face training on "Healthy Conversation Skills".
